Using her training as a Mandated Reporter and keeping her CPR certification up to date, Kassandra started her own private tutoring service in 2020 for k-12. She uses her skills and experience in babysitting and recreation to develop her tutoring program.

ASES After School Program.

During her early education in nutrition, Kassandra joined the Palomar Nutrition Club. There she had the opportunity to work on a recipe book. She came up with recipes that involved her newly acquired knowledge in food and nutrition. She modified her recipes to be healthier by assessing macro and micro nutrients. This was a project where she showcased her creativity and education.

As the Nutrition Service Aide at Park Avenue Senior Center, Kassandra learned about the different sectors in food production and service. Before COVID, she helped take surveys of the Senior population who attended the lunch service at PACC, she also helped plate trays in the kitchen and serve the seniors in the dining areas. During COVID, the nutrition program turned mobile and serviced 110 seniors who lived on the City of Escondido. She organized different routes to deliver packaged food to the senior's door steps. With her experience, she was tasked with training new employees and assessing the quality of work.
